[February 1] Santa Clara, Calif.-based Internet giant Yahoo! operates the top Web properties in three Asian markets, rankings from NetValue released Wednesday show.

Yahoo! sites drew the most unique home Internet users in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan during a December, 2000 survey by the France-based measurement firm. Yahoo.com was the most popular domain in both Hong Kong and Singapore. Kimo.com, which Yahoo! acquired in November, 2000, placed first in Taiwan, with Yahoo.com finishing third.

In China, Yahoo! placed seventh overall, behind six local incumbents lead by Sina.com. According to Interactive Audience Measurement Asia (iamasia), this is Yahoo’s worse showing of any of the markets it has entered worldwide.

NetValue defines an unique user as someone “who visited a particular site at least once in the month.”
