OpenTV Thursday released its upgraded
Spyglass Prism 3.3.0 server platform for transforming Web
content to that usable on Net devices.

Version 3.3.0 transcodes content between a variety of
formats, including HDML, WML and, now, i-mode. The company
said in a statement that it added support for i-mode because
of the rapidly increasing support for that specification,
particularly in Asia.

In addition, the upgrade now can split WML source content
into decks sized for specific devices, according to the
company. Wireless Markup Language (WML) is used for
developing content for devices that support the Wireless
Application Protocol (WAP).

Spyglass Prism version 3.3.0 is available for Windows NT and
Sun Solaris operating systems. The company provided no
pricing information.
