Quote.com, Exodus Form Financial Network

Networking company Exodus Communications Inc. Monday paired
with financial Web site Quote.com to
offer financial institutions and investors real-time financial news and
information.

Under terms of the agreement, Exodus and Quote.com will jointly design a
distributed system of Web servers and routers that will be deployed
throughout Exodus’ network of Internet data centers.
The network’s foundation will be Quote.com’s Continuum, a system of routers
and applications that delivers news and market information to Quote.com
users.

With the partnership, the companies aim to double current bandwidth and
increase the number of pathways through which users can access Quote.com’s
information, said Robert Honeycutt, Quote.com’s president and chief
executive officer.

“Our customers stake their reputations and base their investment decisions
on the data we provide so it is absolutely essential that the information
be delivered as quickly and reliably as possible,” he said.

“We will rely heavily on our relationship with Exodus as we continue to
upgrade our offerings and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.”
