Melbourne-based Sausage Software
is set to acquire production house Tribal, after signing a heads of
agreement content deal.
Though the deal remains subject to formal contract documentation,
five-year-old Tribal will supply Sausage with a team of media and
communications professionals experienced in commercial TV and corporate
video productions.
Tribal has delivered services to blue-chip clients such as Coles Myer,
Ansett Australia and Telstra.
Sausage chief executive officer Wayne Bos said the Tribal acquisition
would help Sausage meet the growing demands to interactive media and
broadband content.
“Web TV and broadband will revolutionise the Internet. The integration
of Tribal’s skill set with that of Sausage Interactive and GMD confirms our
role as key player in the creation of next generation content, and further
enhances our opportunities in e-commerce and the development of communities
of interest,” said Bos.
The deal with Tribal follows the marketing agreement signed two weeks
ago with digital photography firm IXLA to co-market both company’s products
to the Asia Pacific market.
