Sony To Launch Broadband Service In Hong Kong

Sony Corporation of Hong Kong has announced that it will be launching So-net, a broadband service offering high-speed Internet access, this coming summer season. So-net will build upon the success of its Japanese cousin, So-net Japan, and will provide premium content tailored for the Hong Kong market.

Said Susumu Kitadai, division managing director of Sony Corporation Hong Kong’s Hong Kong Marketing Company, “Our loyal customer base here demands high quality and connectivity as we enter the age of broadband. With the introduction of So-net Hong Kong, we are furthering the goal of the entire Sony Group to offer our customers all the advantages of a Personal Broadband Network Solutions company.”

So-net will create a universal network providing interactive communication and exclusive content for subscribers, the company said in a statement. Sony’s audiovisual, IT and communication hardware will also be seamlessly integrated to So-net, offering a variety of quality movies and network games for Hong Kong users.
