Digimarc Corp. announced today that it is expanding the presence of its patented digital watermarking technology into the defense and intelligence market segment.

The Portland area-based company will be teaming up with Emergent Technologies, a systems integrator for the U.S. Government, to jointly offer digital watermarking technologies to intelligence agencies and the U.S. Department of Defense for use in print and digital documents.

“Our government customers face the challenge of managing highly sensitive content in a variety of print and digital formats across multiple organizations and applications,” says Ron Oxley, Emergent group president and general manager.

“Digimarc watermarking allows us to embed information directly in the content for a variety of purposes. We are very pleased to offer Digimarc watermarking to further distinguish our security and content management solutions.”
