France Telecom ISP Wanadoo has announced it has enlisted 1 million
subscribers.

Wanadoo claims it has a 35.3 percent share of the French ISP market with
3.3 million page views each day.

The announcement came a few days after two complaints were issued by ISPs
AOL/Cegetel and Club-Internetto to the council of concurrence.

“We won the bet a month early,” said Nicolas Dufourq, France Telecom’s
manager for the multimedia division, referring to the company’s goal of
reaching 1 million users by the end of this year. He added that Wanadoo has
doubled the number of its users since last January.

At the same time, Wanadoo announces that two thirds of its customers are
private consumers, the other third is made up of business and professional
users.
