Bellvue-based Wireless Services Corp. Wednesday named Keith Grinstein, a 13-year veteran of the wireless industry, vice chairman of its board.

Grinstein comes to WSC from the vice chairmanship of Nextel International Inc., where he was responsible for all international investments and strategy for Nextel Communications Inc. His primary role at WSC will be maintaining the company’s leadership in providing software to wireless carriers worldwide.

“Keith is one of the few people in the wireless industry who has extensive direct domestic and international wireless carrier operating experience, long-standing industry relationships and a sophisticated market understanding as to what carriers need,” said Steve Wood, president and chief executive of WSC. “His experience will significantly help our current and future customers understand how to achieve maximum wireless data revenues.”
