Acacia Research Corp. said that its subsidiary, Soundbreak.com, has chosen McElroy:Foote, Cone & Belding as its
advertising agency, Rogers & Cowan as its public
relations agency and YouthStream Media Networks for
marketing to college students.

“Soundbreak’s goal is to become the leading ‘live’ Internet site for
youth-oriented music,” said Paul Ryan, CEO of Acacia Research. “We are
excited to be working with groups that are acknowledged leaders in their
respective fields as we prepare for our launch.”

McElroy:FCB is a youth-oriented advertising agency that recently merged with
Foote, Cone & Belding. It has conducted youth marketing campaigns for clients
such as Vans Shoes, Pacific Sunwear, G-Shock Watches, Mountain High Resort,
and Titus Software.

Rogers & Cowan specializes in marketing and communications for films,
television, musical artists, celebrities, concert tours, and award shows.

college campus postering and promotions company and a satellite-linked
network of on-campus movie theaters. YouthStream’s on-campus marketing
organization includes relationships with 2,000 universities and 7,000 high
schools.

Soundbreak.com will provide an interactive “lifestyle” site centered around
music, combining a 24-hour webcast highlighting new music hosted by on-air
