Online ad network Adsmart Monday jumped into
the hot business-to-business space, laying out plans to create vertical
networks of sites targeting professionals in a variety of industries.
The company plans to target segments like insurance, real estate and high
technology, as well as financial services, agriculture, medical, and
telecommunications.
Sites already signed to the network include Emplawyernet, a legal jobs database;
FindForms.com, a legal and business
forms search engine; Lawguru.com, the
site to find thousands of free answers to legal questions; and Patent Cafe, GoTo.com’s business
intellectual property portal.
“We have brought to the business-to-consumer online advertising industry
something unique – brand name sites, specialized categories suited to media
buyers’ needs, and consultative relationships with publishers and brand
advertisers,” says John Federman, Adsmart’s chief executive officer.
“This has proven to be a successful formula as demonstrated by our
company’s rapid expansion. We will apply this model to the
business-to-business market, which represents an untapped online marketing
opportunity for us.”
