Avenue A, Level 3 to Broaden Agency’s Service Offerings

Web media buyer/marketer Avenue A,
Monday announced that it has signed an agreement with
London-based carrier Level 3
Communications
, to deliver broadband digital
marketing services in Europe.

“Avenue A chose Level 3 as its network services provider because they
exhibit a similar commitment to excellent client service and aggressive
international growth,” said Jamie Marra, vice president of information
technology and software development for Avenue A.

“Through Level 3’s IP-based network, Avenue A will ensure the speed and
efficiency of its proprietary ad serving technology to all of its
international clientele.”

will help Web-centric companies deploy innovative services and content on a
global scale. We are pleased to be selected by Avenue A and have the
opportunity to help them with their international expansion plans,” said
Level 3 UK managing director Les Johns.

Through its international division, Avenue A is leveraging the projected
growth in online ad spending by offering Web and e-mail marketing services
to international clients. By expanding overseas, Avenue A increases its
service offering for U.S.-based clients as well, especially those with
offices or subsidiaries located abroad.

The news is the latest in a string of partnerships designed to enhance
Avenue A’s breadth of products and services. In June, the firm announced a
partnership with Web integrator Luminant to cross-sell integrated services.
Last month it partnered with wireless application service provider 2Roam to develop a closed-loop tracking
system for wireless ads.

The agency’s client roster include Eddie Bauer, Expedia, Microsoft, Gateway, and TicketmasterOnline-CitySearch.
