In a classic marriage of the traditional and the Internet age, 53-year-old
marketing firm Cronin and Co. on
Thursday teamed up with interactive agency BrainBug, in an alliance that taps each
company’s key strengths.

For BrainBug, the deal means it can give its clients access to traditional
marketing capabilities, including print and broadcast resources, as well as
public relations, direct mail and traditional research.

Cronin and Company, on the other hand, can bring its customers BrainBug’s
Web development capabilities, from online promotions to e-commerce solutions.

“Consumers’ lives have become extremely fragmented. As a result, we need to
leverage all communications vehicles to reach them wherever and whenever
they are most receptive to our messages,” says William Cronin, Jr.,
president of Cronin.

“Our partnership with BrainBug marries the best of online and off-line
capabilities to enable us to more effectively build our clients’ brands and
deliver big results.”

Cronin and Company is an independent full-service marketing communications
agency, while BrainBug is part of the UK-based Outrider/Tempus Group, a $5
billion media and communications consortium with offices throughout Europe,
Asia, and North America.
