CBS Sells Multimillion-Dollar Advertising Package

CBS Corp. said it sold an integrated, multimillion-dollar advertising package
to Taylor Made GolfTaylor Made Golf,
the media company’s second major “cross-media” contract for space on
billboards, the TV network, radio stations and the Internet.


Taylor Made, a maker of golf equipment, will advertise on
CBS radio and TV stations, the CBS network, billboards and the Internet.
Spending specifics were not disclosed.


The New York-based company’s new advertising unit, CBS Plus, said it was the
first major contract since it was formed last month. The new division was
started after Pennzoil Co. signed a $25 million agreement in August to place
ads on all of CBS’s outlets. CBS Plus is headed by Bill Apfelbaum, who is also
president and chief executive of CBS’s TDI billboard business.


“We have other deals pending,” CBS spokesman Dana McClintock told Bloomberg News.
