Cendant Corp. (formerly CUC) launched a cross-marketing initiative that will
provide consumers access to online listing of residential rental real estate
properties in cities across North America.
Rent Net and Hebdo Mag International, two of
Cendant’s classified advertising subsidiaries, will embark on a joint
marketing campaign to expand Rent Net’s Canadian property listings and
heighten the online rental site’s awareness through placement of Rent Net’s
logo in Hebdo Mag’s local print publications.
Rent Net is an apartment information and rental service on the Internet, with
listings in more than 2,000 North American cities. Hebdo Mag International is
a distributor of apartment rental guides in major Canadian cities including
Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Halifax.
Under the effort, Hebdo’s Canadian apartment rental listings will appear on
Rent Net’s Web site.
A team of Hebdo Mag account executives will help Canadian property managers
place their advertisements on the Rent Net site. In addition, property
managers will have access to detailed information, graphics, e-mail, and fax
contracts as well as their own unique Internet address to complement their
print ads and other direct marketing efforts.

San Francisco-based Rent Net represents properties in more than 2,000 North
American cities. Rent Net claims more than one million Internet users monthly
through its site and partner sites including Yahoo!, NBC Interactive, USA
Today Online, and Classifieds 2000, as well as Internet search engines
Excite, Lycos, and Infoseek.
Hebdo Mag International Inc. is a global publisher of classified advertising
magazines and newspapers that was acquired by Cendant last fall.
