Student market company CollegeClub.com this week signed a three-year
marketing agreement with Sony Corp. of America (SCA) and
Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE).

Additionally, SCA
made a minority equity investment in the company, gaining a seat on board of
directors.

CollegeClub.com will integrate Sony promotions, co-branded promotions and
original
entertainment content throughout the CollegeClub.com Web site.

Areas of
collaboration will eventually include games, music and content based on
television and motion pictures. SCA will also work with CollegeClub.com to
help develop opportunities for the
Web site internationally.

SCA will gain exposure to CollegeClub.com’s significant membership base
through CollegeClub.com’s online and off-line promotional channels, including
the company’s
unified messaging system and on-the-ground student representative force of
more than 1,500 people on college campuses across the United States.

Financial details of the investment were not disclosed.

Visitors to CollegeClub.com eventually will find a combination of
programming, content and commerce from several SCA divisions including SPE,
Sony Music Entertainment, Inc. and Sony Online Entertainment, as well as
Columbia Tri-Star Interactive, a division of SPE, and Vaio Direct, one of
Sony Electronics’ online e-commerce sites.

CollegeClub.com has more than 1.5 million registered members and claims more
than 1.2 million visitors per month from some 3,800 universities.

Its Student
Savings Center features an e-commerce area with more than 150 e-tailers
offering discounts, plus classifieds and auctions.
