DoubleClick Benelux Launches

New York City-based DoubleClick Inc. formally launched DoubleClick Benelux, based in
Amsterdam and providing advertising solutions for Web publishers, advertisers
and advertising agencies in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

DoubleClick Benelux reps for a local network of 20 Web sites in the Benelux
countries, including Zoek.nl, a search
engine site; TMF.nl, a popular culture
entertainment site; Foxkids.nl, a
division of the Fox television channel and
Euro2000.com, an information center
for the European Union.

DoubleClick already has operational networks in France, Germany, Italy, Spain,
Scandinavia and the UK.

“DoubleClick Benelux is a key component of DoubleClick’s global strategy,”
said Barry Salzman, president of DoubleClick International. “With the addition
of DoubleClick Benelux, DoubleClick now has local content networks in each
major market worldwide. . . .DoubleClick can empower the media buyer or
advertiser to centralize media buying and planning while truly localizing
their campaigns.”

To form DoubleClick Benelux, DoubleClick acquired a majority interest in
NetSales B.V., the online advertising sales arm of 2PR Holding, a Dutch
information technology service provider. Financial arrangements were not
disclosed.

DoubleClick said it already reaches more Benelux users than any other online
advertising network. Among the Dutch advertisers using DoubleClick’s
services are the
information technology company CMG, KPN, the Dutch telecommunications
provider, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Heineken, and industrial giant Philips.
