DoubleClick’s DART Serves Eight Billion Ads in March

New York City-based DoubleClick Inc. said that its DART ad
server technology served 8 billion ads across 6,400 sites worldwide in March.

Sites include AltaVista, CBS Sportsline, NBC, MTV Europe, theglobe.com, EDGAR
Online and The Wall Street Journal Interactive.

In December 1998, DoubleClick said it served 5 billion ads. DART (Dynamic Ad
Reporting and Targeting) provides a scalable, reliable and high-performance
advertising infrastructure for the Internet and has the support of 12 data
centers and 130 ad servers worldwide, the company said.
