EarthWeb Signs 45 New Advertisers

EarthWeb said it has secured 45 new
advertisers since Sept. 1, including Fujitsu, Sybase, Philips Electronics,
Symantec, Lucent Technologies, Progress Software, Dow Jones Sharp Electronics
and 3Com’s Palm Computing.

All the accounts had not previously advertised on EarthWeb’s online services,
and they bring its advertiser roster to 139 for the year to date.
“EarthWeb’s online services are key business-to-business connections between
IT professionals and vendors of IT products and services,” said Bill Gollan,
senior vice president at EarthWeb. “Many of these companies have told us that
they recognize the value of presenting their message in an environment where IT
professionals are seeking solutions.”

EarthWeb’s flagship service is developer.com. The firm offers other integrated business-to-business online services including Datamation and
ITKnowledge. EarthWeb is publicly held with headquarters in New York City.
