Entries Sought for Web Marketing Awards

The Web Marketing Association in Boston is requesting entries for its 1998 WebAward competition for corporate Web sites.

The WebAwards allow Web professionals to enter their best sites for adjudication against a standard of excellence as well as other sites in their industry. The WebAward nominations will be conducted through its own Web site at www.WebAwards.org.

“Marketing on the Internet is a competitive environment. Corporate marketing departments and Web design firms are always looking for ways to validate their efforts and provide corporate management with independent feedback as to the quality of the work being performed,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association. “Winning a WebAward gives the webmaster or designer recognition
with his or her clients, peers and the entire Internet community.”

The WebAwards competition is open to all organizations and individuals
involved in the process of developing corporate sites. Entries in more than 75
industry categories will
be judged in such areas as design, innovation, content, interactivity,
navigation, ease of use and use of technology. Judges will include members of
the media, advertising executives, site designers, content providers and
webmasters. The deadline
for entering is Sept. 1.
