EveryWare to Integrate Bolero with IBM and Lotus Products

Aug 10, 1998

EveryWare Development Corp. in Ontario, Canada launched an initiative with IBM to develop Bolero Blue, an integration of EveryWare’s real-time Web marketing decision support system with Lotus Domino, IBM’s DB2 Universal Database and IBM’s MQSeries.

The integrated combination of products will result in an accurate and scalable platform for Web site reporting and analysis, one-to-one marketing for e-commerce solutions and intranet development, EveryWare said.

“This joint initiative gives EveryWare exposure to IBM’s channel partners, enabling us to aggressively market Bolero Blue to system integrators, e-commerce developers, and one-to-one marketing Web site developers,” said Jeff Turner, director of marketing for EveryWare Development. “The value-add that
Bolero Blue brings to these developers is in the form of a personalization platform. The Bolero Blue architecture is based on open standards providing the ability to easily customize Web analysis reports or Web pages based on customer preferences and actions.”

Bolero Blue is designed to allow corporate Webmasters, service providers, IT managers and Web site marketers to monitor and analyze one or more Web sites to obtain accurate marketing and Web site usage reports in real-time. A customizable system, it works to enable effective decision-making regarding the
content, architecture and return on investment of a Web site. The company said that Bolero Blue provides an open platform for Web developers focusing on Web site personalization, one-to-one marketing, and customization of usage reports.

“Without the proper tools, analyzing Web sites can be a daunting task, especially on high-volume sites that get more than a million hits daily,” said Steve Solazzo, vice president of sales and marketing, solution developers and small/growing businesses, IBM Software Group. “With its inclusion of robust, powerful IBM products, Bolero Blue is able to provide a complete analysis solution enhanced by cross-enterprise messaging and multi-platform support.”
