Carat Interactive has been tapped to handle online marketing for Icelandair. Carat will provide creative, media buying, CRM and search engine marketing services.

The agency’s first task will be to launch a registration program to grow Icelandair’s “Lucky Fares” database, a Web-based club for discounted fares. Carat will also launch a cost-per-click search initiative to drive traffic and sales. The initial marketing effort is set to launch this month.
