Digital marketer Avenue A has appointed ad veteran Jack Sansolo to its board of directors. From 1996 to 2001, Sansolo served as executive vice president of global brand direction for Eddie Bauer, where he managed international brand marketing and licensing, marketing research, creative services, advertising, and interactive media. Prior to that role, he founded Point A Consulting, a consultancy that served clients such as Gallo Winery, Hewlett Packard and Levi Strauss. Sansolo also held a post as vice chairman of marketing and corporate development of Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos Advertising.

Mobliss, a wireless media and marketing company,
has moved to a larger office space in the Smith Tower in Seattle and hired a new vice president of sales. Rouben Haroutoonian, who will fill the post, comes to Mobliss from Avenue A.

Brian Levin, president and co-founder of Mobliss, said, “With the move to our new
headquarters, and with the addition of Rouben Haroutoonian, we’re well positioned
to grow and expand.”

Business 2.0 has appointed Kelly Konis White as director of marketing. Konis White, who will be responsible for all branding and marketing initiatives, joins the magazine from her private communications consultancy practice. During her solo stint, she designed strategic communications and media plans for clients such as Franklin Templeton and IDG and partnered with several agencies, including Euro RSCG, Collaborate and McCann-Erickson/A&L. Before that, Konis White was senior vice president and executive media director at McCann-Erickson/A&L, where she oversaw the Microsoft , SGI , Siebel , and Blue Shield accounts. She also worked for Foote Cone & Belding as vice president and media account director.

Agency.com has launched a new site for Eagle Foods. The supermarket chain’s new online presence provides news about its product lines, Web-only specials and cost-saving tips. The site also allows visitors to locate stores in their area and
research store departments. The companies said the site will eventually provide recipes, nutritional facts, and an e-commerce function that will let users order catering goods.

“We wanted the site to have a distinct brand and personality so it
didn’t look like just another grocery store,” said Stephen Thompson, vice
president of creative at Agency.com.

The Think Tank, an Austin-based marketing firm, has hired Gabe Joynt as director of client relations, responsible for growth across the firm’s advertising, interactive marketing, direct mail and publishing groups. Prior to his appointment, Joynt was group director of strategic services at Agency.com, running a strategy consulting team that served clients such as Visa, HP, Intel and Bank of America. Before that, he developed marketing programs at Ketchum Communications.

Wireless developer WolfeTech has tapped consulting and marketing firm NeoBrands to handle public relations. NeoBrands will provide all press materials, trade show support, and corporate messaging for future product launches, beginning with the release of WolfeTech’s mobile enterprise solution later this spring.
