Viral marketer ElectricArtists has partnered with Seventeen Magazine and its Web site, Seventeen.com, to promote an online book club. Called “Seventeen – Book Divas,” the Web destination is being billed as the exclusive place for the magazine’s readers to discuss, review and share thoughts about the books they love. The May 2003 issue of Seventeen officially kicks off the site; the first featured book is “The Song Reader,” by Lisa Tucker.

ElectricArtists launched “Book Divas” approximately five months ago without a corporate partnership. CEO Marc Schiller said, “The partnership with Seventeen confirms our thinking about the need for such an online outlet.”

Ten European ad agencies have adopted Atlas DMT’s Digital Marketing Suite, a third-party ad serving and campaign management platform. These agencies, including Agency Republic, Unique Digital and Universal McCann, represent brands such as Virgin Atlantic and O2.

“In evaluating our choices, we looked for a solid technology that will help us significantly increase our efficiency and effectiveness when planning and buying media, while working with a company that has a track record of superior customer service,” said Bradley Moore, director of media of Agency Republic. “The Atlas Suite is a leading tool for the European market.”

Analytics player Coremetrics has hired Michael Levine as managing director of strategic services. Prior to joining Coremetrics, Levine worked as a marketing consultant with a range of companies. One of these was Servicemaster, where he provided strategic leadership on a range of online and offline marketing programs. In his new role at Coremetrics, Levine will oversee efforts to extend analysis of customer behvavior from day-to-day operational usage into strategic initiatives.

“Led by Michael Levine, our team of experts will further exploit the tremendous potential of our profile-based online customer and visitor data,” said Scott Kauffman, chairman of Coremetrics.

Tacoda Systems has tapped Bennett Zucker to fill the newly created position of executive director of customer success. Zucker comes to Tacoda Systems from BizViz Internet Analytics, where he was VP of business development. Prior to that, he led sales and marketing for CRM and content management systems consultant Really Strategies and served as managing director of Latin America at 24/7 Real Media.

Zucker’s hire is part of a recent push by Tacoda to help clients achieve a rapid ROI with its flagship Audience Management System, which segments online audiences according to their revenue potential.

“We believe that Tacoda’s future success is inextricably tied to our customers’ success, and that the best way to control our future is to proactively insure that our customers are successful by providing them ‘customer success’ consulting services,” said Dave Morgan, CEO of Tacoda Systems. “That will be Bennett’s job.”

Vanguard University has tapped JUXT Interactive to design a Web presence that “speaks authentically to prospective students,” according to the companies. The new site will serve as a marketing and communication tool, keeping students, parents, alumni, and supporters of Vanguard up to date on university events, academic information and special programs. Future phases will facilitate admission processes and financial aid.
