Pay for performance-based search engine FindWhat.com has beefed up its alliance with CNET Networks, Inc.

The expanded place means that FindWhat.com search results will now appear in more areas of the CNET listing sections, including WebFerret, a popular downloadable Web search program

The added placement beyond the current search listings on Search.com comes just in time for FindWhat.com. Earlier this year, the company signed a major distribution deal with Excite@Home, which filed for bankruptcy protection on Friday.

The strategic alliance with CNET builds on an agreement that has been in place for over a year between the two companies. With more companies looking to pay for online advertising and search engine results based in clicks, FindWhat has been benefiting from the surge in interest. But distribution has been one obstacle to getting its search engine in front of more new users and advertisers.
