Road Runner’s broadband sales group Power Media
Services (RPM) signed a multi-year strategic marketing partnership with Visa
card issuer First USA.
RPM is the new advertising and e-commerce sales arm for Road Runner, high
speed online service. Under terms of its agreement with First USA, Road
Runner said, it has the potential to recognize multi-millions in revenue.
Specifics were not disclosed.
By aggregating Road Runner’s 320,000 subscribers into a national network, RPM
provides an opportunity for advertisers to tap the potential of the broadband
environment.
“RPM is in a unique position to enable category leaders to test and develop
broadband promotional strategies that will drive product sales,” said Bobby
Benya, RPM vice president of sales.
RPM currently has more than 15 clients testing and learning about broadband
ad effectiveness by targeting promotions on the Road Runner service.
