Hiway Technologies Inc. signed an agreement with LinkExchange Inc. to be the exclusive provider of domain registration services for the Web ad network.

LinkExchange said it services more than one million registered users of its
services, “making it the Web’s largest active community of independent site
owners and Web entrepreneurs.” The company recently expanded its services
beyond simple ad exchanges. Financial terms of the agreement were not
disclosed.

LinkExchange offers members banner advertising exchange and promotion, search
engine registration and monitoring, electronic commerce solutions, site
visitor analysis, and other tools. The new domain registration channel will be
administered and managed by Hiway Technologies.

“LinkExchange has built an enormous network of Internet-based business owners
who rely on its tools and services to compete online,” said Steve Umberger, chief marketing officer of Hiway Technologies. “By teaming with
LinkExchange, we gain immediate access to one million-plus members of our
target audience while rounding out the
site’s extensive service offerings.”

Hiway Technologies’ domain registration service, called SiteSaver, is a complete domain registration and parking service. For a one-time fee of $40, SiteSaver is made to allow customers to perform online domain name searches, register a domain with InterNIC, and, if needed, park the domain for up to two years. InterNIC fees are not included.
