IDG.net Opens New European Office

Boston-based IDG.net, a network of technology-specific sites
around the world, announced three new management appointments and opened the
network’s European hub in London.

“IDG.net’s Global Web Ad Network closed 1998 with an advertising run rate 10
times higher than in January. Much of our momentum has come from the dramatic
growth of integrated, international programs across multiple Web products in
multiple regions,” said Laurie Morgan, president of IDG.net.

Mark Crafts, previously sales manager for IDG.net, has been promoted to
advertising director; Jill Hourston, previously manager of client operations
for IDG.net in San Francisco, now manages client operations for Europe out of
London; and Springer Huseby, previously with Research magazine, has been
appointed manager of operations.

IDG.net comprises more than 240 IDG Web sites in 55 countries worldwide,
including the Computerworld, InfoWorld, Network World and PC World product
families.

Through its Global Web Advertising Network, IDG.net allows technology
advertisers to execute campaigns across any combination of IDG Web sites, in
multiple regions of the world.
