Marketing.comm Creates Tennessee Oilers Web Site

Oct 22, 1998

Marketing.comm
launched a new, official promotional site for the Tennessee Oilers football
team. Billings were not disclosed.

“We selected Marketing.comm to create the Oilers’ new Web site based on their expertise in
developing sports-related interactive technologies,” said Gary Glenn, Oilers
Internet Coordinator.

“We wanted to provide our fans with up-to-date
information in a rapidly-changing environment, and Marketing.comm has the
technical experience to make that happen.”

“We have customized this Web site with back-end administrative applications
that allow fans to
view Web site changes as they take place,” said Jeff Morris, Marketing.comm
senior vice president. “With 80% of the Web site’s content changing weekly,
this feature allows the Oilers to quickly and cost-
effectively update their site.”

The site includes categories such as an Oilers Newswire; game previews with
live updates during the game, live play-by-play as the action unfolds and
post-game quotes from the coach and players. It will also present team and
front office information; online game tickets; an interactive section with
personalized Oilers visits and virtual tours; an Oilers e-mail account; a link
to the Oilers radio network and weekly chat sessions.
