Marketwave Launches Hit List Enterprise 4.0

Sep 1, 1998

Marketwave Corp., a provider of Web
mining and real-time site analysis solutions, delivered Hit List Enterprise
4.0 with new support for Oracle databases.

The new partnership allows Marketwave and Oracle customers to analyze traffic
from the largest Web sites and intranets. Enterprise 4.0 began shipping today
with new Web mining features as well as the new InterAct open architecture,
the company said.

Hit List Enterprise 4.0 can now analyze traffic from the very largest sites
and intranets. Using Oracle 7 and 8 with Hit List Enterprise, customers can
import hundreds of megabytes of Internet/intranet traffic data each hour,
including ad banner data. In addition, Hit List’s QuickList X-Treme technology
can be ‘tuned’ for these sites by selectively enabling and disabling storage
of certain pieces of information.

New Hit List customers include Nasdaq, Dell, Ford, e*TRADE, Unicast,
BankBoston and Shopping.com.

Marketwave also made available the InterAct open architecture, which is designed to allow
developers to extend the functionality of Hit List traffic analysis solutions
with the creation of plug-ins and new applications.

Hit List Enterprise features a new user interface that includes report folders
to simplify management of multiple reports, as well as enhanced flexibility in
the event scheduler, the company said. For those who want to go beyond the analysis provided by
Hit List Enterprise’s 70 predefined reports and 375 predefined report
elements, there is a custom report creation wizard to walk them through the
process. The new Language Manager allows reports to be completely localized in
different languages or reflect standard terminology used internally by an
organization. Pricing was not disclosed.
