Mecklermedia said it will sell ads on a CareerBuilder Inc. job center for online professionals to be located on its Internet.com site.
The service can be accessed directly at jobs.internet.com.
Under terms of the agreement, Internet.com will provide a value-added service to its online community of job-seeking Internet professionals and candidate-seeking recruiters, driving traffic to jobs.internet.com. CareerBuilder will operate the site and market it to job seekers and recruiters. Internet.com has the rights to sell advertising on sections of the site.
“By partnering with CareerBuilder, we’re able to provide the easy-to-use
jobs.internet.com interactive career service to our online community,” said
Chris Elwell, vice president and general manager of Internet.com. “It also
validates our contention that Internet.com’s audience, comprised of Web
developers, system administrators and Internet industry professionals, is
among the most attractive on the Web and one that will be attractive to many
‘e-commerce-like’ deals,” he said.
“A major Internet player like Internet.com offering a career site further
validates the explosive growth of E-Commerce, and that basic business
functions like recruiting are being conducted over the Internet,” said Rob
McGovern, president and CEO of CareerBuilder, Inc.
CareerBuilder develops and markets the CareerBuilder Network, a single
Internet recruiting source made up of 18 career sites on the Web. The
CareerBuilder Network delivers employers an electronic recruiting solution
