MSNBC.com named Cherylynne Crowther as
director of marketing, responsible for the marketing, public relations and
research efforts for the news site.
Crowther had been marketing manager at the site. Her primary responsibilities
included leveraging topical news promotions and marketing with joint venture
partners, Microsoft and NBC-TV. She also managed agency creative efforts and
the implementation of advertising.
Prior to joining MSNBC, Crowther was the creative director of KING-TV, the NBC
affiliate in Seattle. Before that, she was the promotion producer for the
station. She also has worked as a news producer for WOTV-TV, the NBC affiliate
in Grand Rapids, MI.
