In a bid to lure the business lunch crowd to its stable of partner
restaurants, online reservations site OpenTable.com on Tuesday partnered with
employeesavings.com in a plan
to reward frequent diners.

For OpenTable.com, the deal gives it a loyalty program and a foothold in
the world of corporate diners, since its reservations system will be
available through employeesavings.com’s customized company extranets.
Employeesavings.com benefits by adding another benefit to the
employee-retention solutions that it can offer its Fortune 1000 clients.

“Large corporations already have close relationships with preferred
suppliers of other travel and entertainment services,” said Chuck
Templeton, OpenTable.com president and chief executive officer.

“In partnership with employeesavings.com, OpenTable.com will be the first
company to build similar links between corporations and their preferred
restaurants.”

Employeesavings.com builds customized corporate extranets, where employees
of client companies can access savings on products and services like
groceries, travel, cars, and entertainment. Its clients include Agilent Technologies, The Boeing Company, Eddie Bauer, Hewlett-Packard Company, Microsoft Corporation, Nordstrom, and 3M.

OpenTable.com provides online restaurant reservations for 500 venues
nationwide. The company has marketing partnerships with AOL Digital City, OracleMobile.com, and The New York
Times’
NYToday.com and The Boston
Globe’s
Boston.com.
