New Hampshire-based PC FREE said it has appointed The Mesa Group in New York City as its ad
agency of record.
PC FREE (not to be confused with PC-Free, which is giving away computers to
selected customers willing to view advertisements) said it plans to offer
customers a computing system that includes a computer, monitor, keyboard,
mouse, speakers, color printer, TV tuner card, network interface card,
software metering solutions, digital broadcast reception capability, game
playing console and smart card technology, coupled with unlimited Internet
access, for a single monthly charge of $39.99 on a straight rental basis.
PC FREE (we couldn’t find a URL) said it also operates an online shopping
network that has space for 16 exclusive online venders.
Chairman and CEO David L. Booth said he was looking for a “small,
Internet-savvy agency that could turn on a dime while still providing a wide
range of advertising, marketing, sales, and PR skills. We think Mesa is that
kind of agency and we look forward to working closely with them in rolling
out our program.”
The Mesa Group will also be handling the upcoming auction for the remaining
16 exclusive virtual storefronts in PC FREE’s “Grand World Market.” Billings
