Aug 27, 1998

Rare Medium Inc. launched a Web site for Patrice Tanaka & Company Inc. on behalf of the Coors Brewing Company’s Women’s Program and the Women’s Sports Foundation.

Rare Medium designed and produced the Go Get Fit site to help young adult women meet the challenges of staying fit. Visitors to the site can learn about more than 50 sports and fitness activities and take an interactive sports quiz to find fitness activities that match their personal profile, the company said. Billings were not
disclosed.

The site is supported by a partnership between Coors Brewing Company’s Women’s Program and the Women’s Sports Foundation. Working in partnership with national and local organizations, Coors Women’s Program conducted outreach campaigns promoting breast cancer prevention, literacy advancement and the importance of physical fitness in maintaining good health.

The Women’s Sports Foundation describes itself as a national nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing opportunities for girls and women in sports and fitness through education, advocacy, recognition and grants. Established in 1974 by Billie Jean King, its founder; Donna de Varona, a founding member and its first president; and other champion female athletes, the Foundation seeks to create an educated public that encourages females’ participation and supports gender equality in sport.
