Resumail Network said that
beginning Sept. 15 it will distribute free
resume preparation software to U.S. college students, in partnership with Collegestudent.com.
Collegestudent.com is a college marketing company that publishes online campus
guides. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
Resumail Network and Collegestudent.com are delivering a job placement
solution linking college and university students with prospective employers.
With more than 850 employers currently posting job ads, and more than 7,000
real-world jobs on its Web site, Resumail Network created the College
Student Job Search Channel.
Through this channel, Resumail Network and Collegestudent.com will be
distributing 75,000 copies of Resumail Resume–the company’s resume
preparation product–per month throughout the school year. Students will
also be directed to download the software from the Resumail Network Web site.
The software is designed to allow students to deliver resumes electronically to the desktop
of hundreds of top college recruiters across the nation.
Collegestudent.com currently has comprehensive sites for 75 major
universities, a number that will increase to 100 university and college sites
by December of 1998.

network,” said Griffin Davis, vice president of marketing at
Collegestudent.com., “The strength of the Resumail Network made them the clear
choice.”
Collegestudent.com was made to connect students with local information such as housing,
course evaluations, campus news and events, and free resources like personals,
classified ads and chat rooms.
Terms of the agreement state that Resumail Network will be promoted on the most
frequently hit pages of the Collegestudent.com Web site, and Collegestudent.com will
feature an employment
button that drives traffic to Resumail Network. Banners promoting specific on-
campus recruiting activities via the Resumail Network College Student Job
Search Channel will be featured on college-specific pages, and Resumail
Network will promote Collegestudent.com throughout all of the Web pages
pertaining to the College Student Job Search Channel.
