JobDirect.com Teams With Yahoo! Classifieds

Apr 28, 1998

JobDirect.com in Stamford, CT, an Internet
recruitment database that interactively matches entry-level job seekers with employers, said it plans a cross-marketing effort with Yahoo!

Yahoo! Classifieds becomes a featured
sponsor of JobDirect’s JobDrive 1998: a nationwide tour of colleges,
universities and targeted special events. Financial details were not
disclosed.

The tour, which kicked off in March and continues throughout the year, brings
JobDirect.com’s fleet of JobDrive vehicles to millions of college students
across the country to connect them with potential employers. At each of the
daily events, JobDirect.com will hold cyber-career events to invite students
to submit their resumes to the JobDirect.com database. Each of the three
JobDrive vehicles is equipped with 15 computers capable of helping students
find jobs via the Internet by using JobDirect.com’s services.

As part of the cross-marketing efforts, Yahoo! Classifieds will be featured in
a media and promotional campaign to support the year-long tour and will
include visibility on posters, print and radio advertisements. JobDirect.com
will be promoted in banner advertisements on the Yahoo! main site. Students
will also be able to link to Yahoo! directly from the JobDirect.com Web site.
