Online sweepstakes promotions company Webstakes.com signed a one-year contract
allowing high-speed online service Road Runner to use Webstakes.com’s iDIALOG
technology to provide multimedia promotions to subscribers.

Webstakes.com said it will use its technology and promotion solutions to
help Road Runner attract new consumers, increase retention and add
“stickiness” to the Web site.

Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

Road Runner is a joint venture of Time Warner Inc., MediaOne Group, Microsoft
Corp., Compaq Corp. and Advance/Newhouse.

Road Runner will use iDIALOG, a permission marketing technology, to deliver
personalized offers to its subscribers based on predetermined criteria
established from each entry into a promotion.

In addition, Webstakes.com will
help Road Runner target follow-up e-mails for opt-in subscribers to support
retention goals over the next year.

The iDIALOG engine gives companies up to 10 targeting criteria from which to
choose in determining which consumers see a particular promotion, coupon or
offer, including age, occupation and income. iDIALOG also provides
demographic profiles of those who opt-in to enter each promotion.

“Road Runner chose Webstakes.com for their promotion expertise, sophisticated
offer targeting and promotion reporting capabilities,” said Happy Ciongoli,
programming promotions manager at Road Runner.

Webstakes.com clients include Autobytel, CBS Sportsline, Citibank, Disney,
NBC and Sharper Image.
