San Francisco-based SF Interactive has launched a new musical gift and collectibles Web site
for the San Francisco Music Box & Gift Company.

The music company wanted to bring its traditional catalog to the Internet in
order to give consumers another purchasing medium. Billings were not
disclosed.

“We were given an extremely successful catalog and retail brand to bring to the Web in a way
that the core audience could relate to, but at the same time, not turn them
off with the technology,” said Todd Moritz, senior producer at SF Interactive. “Additionally, we wanted to introduce new customers
to the brand who had not been exposed to it via traditional means.”

The San Francisco Music Box site is a database-driven, e-commerce site that
allows users to select products from various categories of gifts,
collectibles, seasonal items and sale items. Corporate background information
is contained in the site, and the site provides a means for consumers to
connect directly with the online retailer for employment information, store
purchases, catalog requests, and joining a collector’s club.
