STORM Systems LLC, a developer of
performance enhancement and infrastructure software for the Web, has hired USWeb/CKS of Santa Clara, CA to collaborate
on creating the company’s brand identity.
USWeb/CKS will refine and strengthen the positioning, name and graphic
expressions of both STORM’s corporate identity and product suite in
preparation for the release of the company’s first product in May. Billings
were not disclosed.
In response to the demand for increased performance of the Web, STORM will
offer a series of software solutions that speed performance and improve
management of Web sites with large numbers of files and users. STORM’s first
product is based on a patent-pending server-side technology that dramatically
increases the speed with which Web servers find, access and retrieve
information.
“As a leader in the development of enterprise-level e-commerce initiatives,
USWeb/CKS understands our market and the significance of our technology on a
first-hand basis,” said Sam Leinhardt, president and chief executive officer
of STORM Systems. “The creativity, market savvy and impressive track-record of
USWeb/CKS will help us to differentiate our products and establish STORM as an
innovative company with practical solutions to a variety of operational
problems resulting from the explosive growth of the Internet.”
STORM Systems develops and markets software products that address the inherent
limitations of Web-based applications and systems architectures. The goal is
to provide solutions that allow Web sites to optimize, manage, monitor and
control the resources they need to maintain state-of-the-art commercial sites
and corporate intranets.
