Tenagra Acquires Operations of Internet Publicity Services Inc.

Tenagra Corp. said it acquired the business operations of Internet Publicity Services Inc. (IPS), an online agency specializing in author and book promotion via the Internet.


“Bringing IPS’ services into the fold is a key part of Tenagra’s ongoing expansion, and significantly enhances our services and client base,” said Cliff Kurtzman, president and CEO of Tenagra. “This, and future acquisitions, are aimed at helping fortify our position as a leading online marketing agency.” Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.


The acquisition will also give IPS’ existing clients access to Tenagra’s full range of marketing services–online media buying and campaign management, online public relations, Web site design, traffic analysis and technical services, the company said.


IPS’ clients include: John Wiley & Sons, Random House Children’s Publishing, The New York Review of Books, Times Business Books, HarperCollins Trade Publishing, IDG Books Worldwide, The Roland Collection (U.K.) and Insights Consulting (Paris) .


As part of the acquisition, IPS founder Steve O’Keefe will become director of Internet publicity services at Tenagra.


Tenagra is the creator of the Tenagra Awards for Internet Marketing Excellence, and publishes three online properties under its own label–the Online Advertising Discussion list, The Tennis Server and Year2000.com .
