The Tritium Network, an ad-backed, free
Internet Service Provider, named a veteran Chicago advertising executive as
its vice president of advertising sales.
Maurice J. Moore will direct advertising efforts for Tritium, a Cincinnati-
based ISP that is serving customers in eight cities. Within the next 30 days
service will be available in 15 additional major markets, and by year-end
coverage will include 93% of the United States.
“Maurice Moore played key roles in the launch of such cable successes as
Turner Broadcasting Systems, USA Networks, E! Entertainment Television, and
the Golf Channel,” said Tritium President Michael Lee.
Moore began in sales with A.C. Nielsen, where he served as a marketing
manager. He then spent nine years with ABC Radio Networks in Chicago, where he
managed long-form programming sales for the networks’ Central Region.
Moore said that “we’ll be able to offer national advertisers exclusive
positions in certain product, or service, categories.” He added that Tritium
would also be looking to include local advertising in each city it serves.
Moore has been sales director for an online marketing service, Poweragent,
where he managed national client categories within the automotive, financial,
electronics, package goods and travel-related industries, and served as a
director of sales for Cybergold.
