Cost-per-click ad network ValueClick in Santa Barbara, said that
its board chairman since July 1998, former Best Internet CEO Jim Zarley, will
take a more active role in day to day operations at the network.

“ValueClick has experienced six straight quarters of growth averaging 30
percent per
month, and we want to continue this trend. To effectively manage our success
and prepare for the next phase of growth, we needed to add additional senior
management, and Jim’s vast experience in successfully managing the rapid
growth of technology companies will be a tremendous asset,” said ValueClick
founder and CEO Brian Coryat.

Zarley joins ValueClick after serving as the West Coast chief operating
officer for Hiway Technologies and chairman of the board and CEO of Best
Internet. He helped orchestrate the merger between Best Internet and Hiway
Technologies, and also participated in the recent acquisition of the company
by Verio Inc.

He also was president and CEO of Quantech Corp., a company he founded, which
was later sold to ADP in 1991. Prior to starting Quantech, he spent 19 years
at RCA.

Working in partnership with Coryat, Zarley will manage large client
relationships, lead the company’s international expansion and assist in
setting on-going company strategy, the company said. Coryat will increase his
role in supervising the development of the network’s technical infrastructure.

ValueClick serves 12 million impressions per day across a network of
more than 10,000 Web sites.
