WebRep in San Francisco said it entered a
formal strategic partnership with Variety.com, the entertainment business news
site.
The exclusive online advertising sales agreement gives WebRep advertisers an
opportunity to have a presence on the online version of Variety, one of the
most recognized names in entertainment news, the company said.
Launched in December 1995, WebRep clients include Business Wire, Kiplinger
OnLine, UltimateTV and Entrepreneur Magazine Online.
Updated daily, variety.com offers box office figures, breaking news, insider
coverage of awards, film festival coverage, film, television, theater and
music reviews by top editors, along with a calendar of industry events. The
free, searchable content is posted the evening before the print version is
distributed, a strategy that has attracted close to 2 million page impressions
per month since its launch in early January of this year.
