Small and midsized businesses typically don’t have the time, money or expertise to properly assess and implement the security technology they need to keep their data safe. Small Business Computing takes a look at McAfee’s latest service bundles designed specifically for SMBs.

McAfee on Wednesday rolled out a new a batch of services for small and midsized businesses that want to secure their networks but may not necessarily have the IT resources required to install, monitor and evaluate their security needs.

In practice, McAfee Security QuickStart services will give SMBs full lifecycle service support including implementation assistance, user training, maintainance and optimization of security management best practices.

“We understand the frustration that comes from our SMB customers that don’t have enough time or resources to get their products running properly,” Greg Spraggins, owner of NSI Networks, a McAfee reseller, said in a statement. “With McAfee Security Quickstart Services, we can now offer innovative Web training, heathcheck and consulting services that complement our current capabilities for assisting customers in their ongoing use of McAfee technology.”

The new service packages can be purchased as either standalone services or in bundled offerings.
