As anticipated, Amazon.com Inc. Tuesday added toys and games and electronics to its growing product lineup.

Amazon.com electronics features a full range of popular electronics products and
brands, as well as buying guides and expert product reviews. Categories include camcorders, cameras, CD players & recorders, computers and accessories, stereo components, phones, televisions and VCRs.

Amazon.com toys & games offers a broad selection of leisure products divided into brand, age, price and character categories. Specifically, the site offers a “toys for grownups” section that features office
toys, retro classics, and party games. Amazon.com said it has employed a staff of toy experts to provide reviews and ratings on all products.

Like other areas on Amazon.com, both new stores offer customer comment areas where users can input their opinions.

Jeff Bezos, Amazon.com CEO, said that the company is hoping to provide comprehensive e-commerce options to users who already purchase books and music online from Amazon.

“With this launch, our goal is to give customers the Amazon.com experience — everything from 1-Click shopping and helpful information to the high level of customer service we traditionally provide — in the two important categories of toys and electronics,” Bezos said.

Amazon.com also features auction services, electronic greeting cards and videos for sale.
