B-to-B Streaming Media Site Launched

Media company ISLIP Media Inc. Monday
debuted MediaSite.net, a Web site containing searchable video content.

Described as a clearinghouse of news information, stock footage and
educational content, the site is designed specifically for business
customers looking for streaming video. Users can search using keywords,
image recognition or speech recognition on a variety of subjects.

Its content is provided by clients wishing to offer video, but
not able to host its own search site, the company said. Current clients
include the U.S. Navy, broadcast networks NBC and ABC, Warner Brothers
Studios and a host of stock footage agencies.

ISLIP shares ad revenues with these content providers and offers
e-commerce capabilities for users interested in purchasing the audio or
video content.

“MediaSite.net is the first truly searchable video Web site,” said Mark
Julian, ISLIP Media’s president and CEO.

“Video and audio cataloging, indexing and search technology and online
purchase takes advantage of the convenience and immediacy the Internet
offers, while opening up new distribution revenue channels for video
content providers.”

In addition to MediaSite.net, ISLIP also offers to content providers
MediaSite Logger, a video cataloging service and WebFinder, a video search
and retrieval application.
