E-commerce software provider INTERSHOP Communications Inc. and Balisoft
Technologies Inc., a maker of customer interaction software, signed a business
development and co-marketing partnership.
Balisoft and INTERSHOP said they will work together to
define common customers within the e-commerce marketplace, and will evaluate
product integration. Potential melding of INTERSHOP 3 with Balisoft
LiveContact would effectively address the entire continuum from online
storefront development, to customer support and interaction, through to
successful online sales, they said.
INTERSHOP 3 is a customizable e-commerce development framework designed for
the mid-tier enterprise market for business-to-business and business-to-
consumer e-commerce solutions. Balisoft LiveContact uses voice, text chat, and
multimedia collaboration to create an environment built on personalized
interaction.

expertise in storefront creation tools with the unique product offering of
