CyberSource, a provider of electronic distribution e-commerce solutions, and Block Financial Corp., an H&R Block company, said that Block
Financial’s Kiplinger TaxCut software will be made available electronically via CyberSource’s Global Rights Registry.

The Global Rights Registry provides a centralized third party rights registry
for software and other digital products and makes the products available to a
network of resellers and distributors, including Programmer’s Paradise, Surplus Direct, Tech Data, and Varcity.

As a result of the agreement, San Jose, CA-based CyberSource’s software
distribution partners will have access to the tax software product and end-
users will be able to purchase and securely download Kiplinger TaxCut
software, the companies said. Financial terms of the agreement were not
disclosed.

CyberSource will support Kiplinger TaxCut Federal Filing Edition for the 1997
tax year, for both Windows and Macintosh. Other supported products include
Kiplinger TaxCut State Editions for Windows/Windows 95 for 24 states and
Kiplinger TaxCut State Editions for Macintosh for five states. In addition, TaxCut users can file one free electronic return up until April 15.

TaxCut selects and completes the necessary forms, automatically does the
calculations, and audits the return. It includes over 100 forms, schedules and worksheets and can import data from personal financial management programs.
