CyberGuard Corp.,
a provider of network security and electronic commerce solutions, said that
Nippon System Development Co., Ltd. joined
its Business Partner Program.
CyberGuard and NSD entered into an exclusive master
distributor agreement for CyberGuard’s TradeVPI e-commerce products in Japan.
Under the agreement, NSD will provide full localization, sales and support for
CyberGuard’s TradeVPI family of products.
“NSD has always been focused on providing our customers best-of-breed
solutions and services,” said Isao Ogishi, managing director of NSD.
“CyberGuard’s TradeWave e-commerce products and services provide a proven
solution which will be embraced by the enterprise market in Japan.”
“This commitment reinforces that the enterprise customer in Japan is beginning
to adopt the products and technology necessary to develop business-to-business
electronic commerce,” said Tommy Steele, CyberGuard president and COO. “In
discussing our TradeVPI products and services with major Japanese customers,
it was clear that they were looking not only for best-of-breed solutions, but
companies that could provide both the products and integration services
necessary to fully implement enterprise level
commerce.”
TradeVPI is an integrated family of products and services that provides
security for Web-based business applications, including public key/certificate
management that is fully scalable.
TradeVPI will be sold through NSD’s Computer Systems division. Launched in
1994, this division combines PCs, network equipment, network O/S’s and
application software from various vendors in order to develop specialized
computing solutions for corporate clients.
