The OutpostAuctions.com area will operate as a stand-alone site for registered bidders and will be linked from
Cyberian Outpost’s home page. Initially more than 36 items will be
available for bidding, with more planned as the site expands.

The company sited statistics from Internet research group Jupiter Communications, which estimates that

According to Jupiter, last year online

merchandise from auction sites, and PC hardware and software combined
amounted to 12.9 percent of that figure.
